Responsibilities :
- Planning of new electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installations and the execution of maintenance activities of plants and equipment.
- Bring new innovations to existing processes to improve the performance and productivity of the technical plants.
- Ensure preventive maintenance plan of equipment to minimize breakdowns and to increase productivity.
- Ensure all work performed to optimal standard.
- Planning of daily, weekly, monthly, and annually preventative maintenance schedules.
- Able to train, coach and develop team members.
- Ensure different teams’ optimal productivity.
- Ensure good support to other departments in terms of maintenance and new projects.
- Ensure technicians vehicles will always be clean and well maintained.
- Draw up technicians’ standby roster and ensure the technician follow roster as scheduled.
- Overall equipment effectiveness, buildings, and technical plant rooms.
- Prepare bill of quantities for new projects and source suppliers for quotes.
- Ensure stock levels for electrical, mechanical and plumbing spares in order with storeman.
- Evaluation of electrical DB`s and reticulation and propose upgrades or possible change to Technical Services Manager.
- Allocate responsibilities to teams and do daily site inspections to ensure work is carried out us planned.
Education :
- Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Other qualifications relating to Hotel Maintenance ie. HVAC, Plumbing.
- Health and safety qualifications are an advantage.
Experience :
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in 4/5 Star Hotels and Hospitality Industry.
- Good knowledge and experience of:
- • HT connections and termination.
- • Mini substations and transformers.
- • Generators and ATS Systems.
- • HVAC and Refrigeration.
- • BMS Installations.
- • Infrared thermography.
- • Electronics and fibre optic will be an advantage.
- Understand and interpret technical drawings. Use of CAD an advantage.
- Be fluent in English. Both reading and writing. Arabic or French beneficial.
- Having previously worked out of home country an advantage.
- Experience and knowledge of MS Windows, Excel, and Word.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to live remotely.
- Outdoor interests like hunting, horse riding beneficial.
- Be able to integrate into a new environment and culture.
- Be adaptable and flexible.
